Introduction to CentralChat

CentralChat provides free chatrooms, our services are ideal for webmasters who want to place a chat applet on their site for free, or people who just want to chat, in a friendly & safe environment. You do not need to register with us, or provide any information about yourself to us to get a room or chat. There is the option to register your name so that you cannot be impersonated, but this is entirely optional.

CentralChat uses a technology called IRC (Internet Relay Chat).

We provide chatrooms of our own, but webmasters are very welcome to make their own chat rooms for their websites. We do not allow any advertising/spamming, or bad behaviour (racial, sexual, or any other kind), and only people who agree to our rules are welcome to use our services. We provide help for webmasters and regular chatters.

Why is CentralChat different?

We at CentralChat believe we have the safest chat network for kids and people of all ages, and we will always try our best to keep it that way. CentralChat makes a loss every month, and is paid for, administered by, and monitored by, volunteers who want CentralChat to continue to be a success, and many of the people that run CentralChat have met each other in real life, we have a great sense of community at CentralChat and care for all of our chatters.
